Councils criticise A27 plans

Plans to improve the A27 and provide an environmental and economic boost to the region do not go far enough due to a lack of investment and lack of ambition to improve alternatives to car journeys, councillors have warned.
The road, which is a mixture of dual and single carriageway, is the only east-to-west trunk road south of the M25 and is hugely important for both businesses and residents.

Worthing Borough Council is set to declare an ecological emergency to tackle the ongoing effects of climate change on the environment, wildlife and public health.

Worthing Community Chest Needs YOUR Vote!

Since 2001, Worthing Community Chest has awarded almost £450,000 in grants to diverse and phenomenal local groups, who have made a huge impact in Worthing. To celebrate our communities, Worthing Community Chest are launching some Community Awards, with a special twist.

In January 2023, WCC decided to use the United Nations’ global Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) as its framework. The community awards will also be themed around the UNSDGs.
