More Adur and Worthing residents with nowhere to live will be able to stay closer to their friends and family under new proposals to reduce the cost of homelessness.Adur & Worthing Councils intend to sign an agreement that would allow up to 37 local people to have roofs over their heads while more permanent homes can be found for them.

Work starts on disability-friendly allotments in Durrington
People with disabilities will get the chance to take on their own allotment plot, thanks to funding from Worthing Borough Council.Work has begun on four new accessible allotment plots at Humber Avenue Allotments in West Durrington, after the community interest group that runs the site successfully bid for £15,000 from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund.

A pair of decaying, historic buildings in Worthing town centre could be renovated to become much-needed homes for local residents again.Worthing Borough Council is to consider new proposals to restore the Georgian facade of 5 and 7 High Street while developing the interior into short-term accommodation for those in desperate need of somewhere to live.
