A Worthing food bank is continuing to work with the community to tackle the root causes of food insecurity after securing funding from Worthing Borough Council.Worthing Food Foundation, which also runs Worthing Vegan Food Bank, was awarded £30,000 from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund to support its community outreach work.

Staff at Number 10 Downing Street heard first-hand about how a suicide prevention charity has used a personal tragedy to help save vulnerable young lives.Ann Feloy, Founder of Olly’s Future charity (CIO no 1187184) spoke to Policy Unit members on Friday, calling for all medical students to have universal suicide prevention training as part of their core curriculum.

Councillors to review decision to use former Worthing hotel as emergency homeless accommodation
A decision to use a former hotel as emergency accommodation for homeless people in Worthing, is to be reviewed by councillors.Adur & Worthing Councils are considering signing an agreement for up to 10 years with Sussex-based SDR Group that would allow 44 homeless single people to be housed overnight at the Windsor House Hotel in East Worthing if planning permission was granted.
